Made by home edders,
for home edders.
HomeEd.net began as a small collection of music apps shared between friends — and grew into a friendly library we want every UK home educator to be able to afford.
Quality learning tools shouldn't cost a fortune
Finding good, affordable, genuinely useful apps for home education is surprisingly hard. Most are either thinly disguised worksheet dumps, or expensive subscriptions that lock each child behind their own paywall.
We're building the opposite: a calm, playful library where one small yearly fee opens every app for the whole family. No ads. No dark patterns. No per-child charges.
We're starting with Music — scales, notation, ABRSM theory, and instruments like the clarinet — because it's close to our hearts. Maths, languages and more are on the way.
Four simple promises
Friendly first
Every app should feel welcoming to a child and reassuring to a parent. No dark patterns, no pressure.
Genuinely affordable
Home education already carries costs. Everything here is free forever, and optional £25 / year membership for the whole family is our promise for the extras.
Built for the UK
Content aligned to UK home education and exam boards like ABRSM. Spelled the way we spell things, too.
Always growing
Music is the start. New apps arrive regularly, and every one of them is free forever.
